As a press channel, Twitter is an important tool for many medium-sized and larger companies to communicate with press representatives and journalists. Press releases in particular no longer have the clout with younger journalists that they do with older representatives. For companies that are already relevant, it is therefore worth investing in their own Twitter feed.
However, we do not recommend Twitter as a communication channel for companies and public figures that are at the beginning or in the middle of the development process, because before investing resources in Twitter, it is much more worthwhile to invest them in networks such as YouTube, Instagram or Facebook. In particular, the sustainability of, for example, a well-functioning YouTube video is great in relation to 100 tweets. Therefore, as a company, you should consider whether you put human and financial resources into the Twitter channel. If you still have questions about Twitter and tweets, please contact our social media consultant.
The right posts at the right time? As an agency, we not only take care of the conception, as well as the content – if you wish – but also the pre-planning of the content. This ensures a constant source of information that is considered relevant for a wide variety of players in the market. Tweets are now in twice as “big” in character count as they were a short time ago. Instead of 160 characters, you now have twice the amount to distribute information. The relevance of Twitter is not great for every company, but for many people in public life and for groups of small and medium-sized businesses, constant PR messages and information about products, employees, media and companies are profitable.
