Brand Awareness: Recognition and Brand Presence

Brand awareness means brand recognition and represents how strong the recognition value of a brand is. To be more precise, this value tells how many people recognize a brand with or without help. A strong brand presence is the foundation for achieving other goals.

Example: trademarks become fixed terms

Example – What makes a brand? What brands stick in your mind? Perhaps you have observed yourself using the name of a brand to name some products. For example, the paper handkerchief is often called “Tempo”. Such brands refer to individual product groups rather than a product of the specific brand. These brands have become an integral part of our language.

Measure brand awareness

Measurement – You can’t measure brand awareness with a metric, because it’s all about perception and presence. This can be recognized using various methods:

  • Social Engagement
  • Social Listening
