Down-sell: The selling of cheaper products
Down-sell – In down-selling, you actively recommend a lower-priced product to your customers. Together with your customers and their requirements, you work out which product fits their needs. At first it seems like you are losing money, but it is actually free marketing (word of mouth). Through your honesty and the good experience the customer has with your company, he will tell others about you. In the process, you retain the customer and generate new customers – without having to do a lot of canvassing. In addition, potential skips can be prevented and conversions increased.
