Your online store has good products – but no sales? The problem is rarely with the product itself, but with visibility. Today, social media is the most direct route between product and purchase decision. TikTok Shop, Instagram Shopping, Pinterest, Facebook and YouTube Shopping offer you specific conversion levers that traditional display advertising does not provide. This guide shows you which channels are really worthwhile for your store, how to strategically set up social commerce and which mistakes to avoid right from the start.

Social commerce is growing faster than e-commerce as a whole. Shoppers buy directly in the app without leaving the platform. Those who invest in TikTok Shop or Instagram Shopping now will secure a competitive advantage before the channel is saturated.

Social commerce channels compared: which channel suits your store?

Not every social commerce channel works for every store. The choice of platform depends on your target group, your product range and your available content budget. The following table gives you a quick overview:

Platform

Conversion rate (guideline value)

Expenditure

Target group

TikTok Shop

3-7 %

High (Daily Content)

18-35 years, trend-savvy

Instagram Shopping

1,5-4 %

Medium (3-5 posts/week)

25-44 years, Lifestyle, Fashion

Pinterest Shopping

2-5 %

Low (pins are durable)

25-54 years, Living, DIY, Wedding

Facebook Shop

1-2,5 %

Low (catalog-based)

35-60 years, broad masses

YouTube Shopping

0,5-2 %

High (video production)

18-45 years, research phase

TikTok Shop currently achieves the highest conversion rates because the checkout process takes place entirely in the app and the entertaining commerce effect greatly increases the impulse purchase factor. Pinterest, on the other hand, delivers high ROAS in the long term with low ongoing expenditure, as pins can generate traffic for years.

More on the overarching social commerce strategy: Social media e-commerce: strategy and sales

TikTok Shop for your online store: How to set it up

<img src=”https://socialmediaone.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/zukunft-verwaltung-format-netzwerk-digital-vision-verteilung-bild-steigerung.jpg” alt=”<a href=”https://socialmediaagency.one/social-media-marketing-2026-the-complete-platform-strategy-for-u-s-businesses/”>Social media marketing</a> strategy visualization” class=”wp-image-101849 size-full” loading=”lazy” width=”800″ height=”447″ />

TikTok Shop is currently the fastest growing social commerce channel in Germany. The principle: products are linked directly in the video or livestream, the checkout takes place in the TikTok app. For stores, this means no media discontinuity and no shopping cart abandonment due to switching apps.

Setup requirements:

TikTok Business Account (from 18 years of age, DE company or DE residence)

TikTok Seller Center: seller-en.tiktok.com

Product catalog in CSV or XML format (or Shopify/WooCommerce plugin)

Bank details for withdrawals

At least 1 linked Creator account (can be your own)

Content strategy for TikTok Shop: The key mistake is to treat TikTok Shop like a classic store feed. TikTok users don’t buy because they are searching – they buy because they feel entertained and then act on impulse. Your content must therefore first and foremost entertain and only secondarily sell.

Successful formats include product demos in everyday situations, before-and-after videos, haul videos and livestreams with exclusive discount codes. The product link in the video (sticker) should not be the first thing the user sees – three to five seconds of entertainment first, then the link.

To the complete TikTok Shop strategy: TikTok Shop for companies: Setup and social commerce

Instagram Shopping: using the product catalog strategically

Instagram Shopping is more sophisticated than TikTok Shop and reaches a more affluent target group. The setup runs via the Facebook Commerce Manager because Meta combines both platforms under one roof.

Setup in five steps:

Create Facebook Business Manager and link Instagram account

Open Commerce Manager and create store

Upload product catalog (Shopify plugin or manual CSV upload)

Request Instagram Shopping for your account (verification by Meta, 1-5 days)

Tag products in posts, stories and reels

Instagram Shopping works particularly well for industries with high aesthetic standards: fashion, cosmetics, home, jewelry, food. The shopping tab is visible directly in the profile and attracts organic traffic to your catalog. Product stickers in stories and reels have a significantly higher click rate than external links in the bio.

Agency tip: Combine Instagram Shopping with retargeting. People who have seen your product in the feed but not bought it are the most valuable audience segment for Instagram Ads. ROAS values of 4 to 8 are realistic for well-constructed retargeting funnels – significantly better than cold acquisition campaigns.

To the complete Instagram shopping strategy: Instagram shopping for businesses: Setup and strategy

Performance marketing: ROAS and retargeting for your store

In most cases, organic social commerce traffic is not enough to scale a store profitably. Paid social is the extension of your organic strategy – and the lever with which you can control reach and conversions.

The three most important paid social levers for stores:

1. prospecting (cold traffic): Address new target groups via lookalike audiences (based on your existing buyers) or interest targeting. The goal is not immediate conversion, but attention. CPM optimization instead of conversion optimization in this phase.

2. retargeting (warm traffic): Re-activate website visitors, Instagram profile interactions and video views. This audience segment already knows your product – discount codes, social proof and urgency elements work particularly well here.

3. dynamic product ads (DPA): Automatically generated ads that show users the exact product they were looking at in your store. The highest ROAS in e-commerce paid social is almost always with DPA campaigns.

Realistic ROAS by phase: Cold traffic is often 1.5 to 3x – this is not profitable at first, but builds up your warm traffic pool. Retargeting delivers 4 to 10x ROAS. DPA campaigns with a well-stocked catalog and active pixel: 5 to 12x ROAS are achievable.

Details on the performance marketing strategy: Performance marketing: ROAS and conversion strategy

Content strategy: what really triggers sales

Social commerce content is not a glossy product catalog. The biggest mistake is to transfer advertising images from the print sector to social media. What triggers sales is authentic, product-related content that shows the benefits – not the product in a studio shot.

Content formats with a proven conversion effect:

Unboxing videos: More authentic than any advertisement. Customers see exactly what they are getting. Use real order videos from your customers (with permission).

Product demos in everyday situations: Show how your product solves a specific problem. No-frills, no studio, natural lighting.

User-generated content (UGC): Content from real customers has on average 28% higher engagement rates than brand content. Actively build a UGC pipeline.

Livestream shopping: Especially on TikTok. Discount codes exclusively for the livestream, limited quantities, live Q&A on product questions.

Comparison reels: Your product vs. alternative (fair and objective). Works particularly well in saturated markets.

Posting frequency by platform: TikTok: daily to 3× daily (the algorithm rewards frequency). Instagram: 3-5 times per week (feed + stories + 1-2 reels). Pinterest: 5-10 pins daily (the effort is low because pins are static). Facebook: 1-2 times a day is enough for organic reach in the store context.

Analysis and optimization: Which metrics really count

Many store operators measure the wrong metrics. Likes and followers are vanity metrics – they say nothing about the sales contribution. The metrics that count for your store:

Primary metrics (directly relevant to sales):

ROAS (Return on Ad Spend): Sales ÷ advertising spend. Minimum benchmark: 2x to break-even, target 4x+ depending on margin.

Conversion rate (CVR): Purchases ÷ clicks on your offer. On TikTok Shop: 3-7% is realistic. With external store link: 1-3 %.

Cost per purchase (CPP): What does a purchase cost you? Compare with your Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).

Add-to-cart rate: Indicates whether the product page traffic is ready to buy. Low add-to-cart rate with high traffic = problem with the product or the page, not with social media.

Secondary metrics (for optimization):

Video completion rate: crucial on TikTok and Reels. Below 20 % → Revise entry.

Link CTR: For external traffic (link in bio, story link): How many click on your store link?

Share rate: Shared content is the most favorable form of paid reach.

Tool stack for store analysis: Meta Business Suite (Facebook + Instagram), TikTok Ads Manager, Google Analytics 4 with UTM tracking for all social traffic sources, heatmap-based tool for the store pages (Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity free of charge).

Common mistakes and how to avoid them

After hundreds of e-commerce projects, the same mistakes can always be observed that burn up social commerce budgets without generating sales.

Mistake 1: Too many channels at the same time. TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube – everything at once is the surest recipe for mediocre performance on all channels. Start with a channel that suits your target group. Only scale up when this channel is profitable.

Error 2: No pixel, no tracking. If you don’t have the Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel on your website from day one, you will lose retargeting data that cannot be restored retroactively. Installing a pixel takes five minutes and is the foundation for all subsequent paid campaigns.

Mistake 3: Content without a hook. The first three seconds of a video decide whether to skip or watch. Without a clear hook (visual surprise, direct question to the user, before-and-after teaser), your potential customer will scroll on.

Mistake 4: Not linking organic and paid. Your organic content should convey the same products and messages as your paid campaigns. If you see the same content on both channels, you will convert faster.

Mistake 5: No social proof. Integrate reviews, UGC videos and testimonials directly into product content. A “4.8 stars out of 2,300 reviews” in the video overlay noticeably lowers the barrier to purchase.

Which social commerce channel has the highest conversion rate for online stores?

TikTok Shop currently delivers the highest conversion rates in social commerce because the checkout takes place directly in the app and the entertaining commerce effect encourages impulse purchases. Guide values: 3-7 %, depending on the product category. Instagram Shopping is often the better channel with a more stable ROAS for more affluent target groups aged 30 and over.

How much budget do I need to get started with social commerce advertising?

To get started, 500-1,000 euros per month is enough to collect reliable data. With less than 500 euros per month, the learning phases of the algorithms are too slow to make meaningful optimizations. The budget should flow 70% into retargeting and 30% into prospecting as soon as the pixel has collected sufficient data (approx. 50 conversions per week as a minimum for stable playout).

What is the difference between social commerce and traditional e-commerce marketing?

Traditional e-commerce marketing (SEA, SEO, display) focuses on users who are already searching. Social commerce generates demand where users are not actively searching. The customer journey is shorter: discover product → buy in feed. This reduces the abandonment rate because there is no change of platform. Social commerce complements traditional marketing, but does not replace it – the two channels intertwine.

Do I need TikTok Shop and Instagram Shopping or is one enough?

For most stores, one is enough to start with. TikTok Shop is suitable for products under 80 euros with high impulse potential (beauty, gadgets, fashion, food). Instagram Shopping is better suited to higher-quality products with explanatory benefits. If you use both channels, you need separate content strategies – don’t just cross-post the same content.

How do I measure the ROI of my social media measures for the store?

The primary KPI is ROAS (Return on Ad Spend): Revenue through advertising costs. In addition, you measure cost per purchase, conversion rate and the share of social traffic in total sales in Google Analytics 4. UTM tracking on all social links is mandatory so that you can distinguish which channel generates which sales. Organic social commerce influence can be made visible via Assisted Conversions in GA4.

Questions & Answers: Do it yourself or use an agency?

That’s what you’ll learn in this episode of Lasse & Lukinski.

How to create an online shop?

The most important thing is, don’t be afraid to approach the task “online shop” yourself! Nowadays, you can quickly map your entire inventory digitally with just a few clicks, using online tools.

Online Tools – We introduce you to the most common ways to create your own online store in this Marketing Podcast episode. To mean, do-it-yourself with online tools, specifically introduced to Shopify.

Creative Commons Software – If you have technical interest or experience, you can use Creative Commons Software, e.g. WordPress / WooCommerce or Magento.

E-commerce agency – If you have large inventories, more than 10,000 items and different variations (driving options, sizes, etc.) then you may want to call on the expertise of an e-commerce agency. Over 90% of retailers, however, can work perfectly with online tools – without an agency.

In this and the following episodes, we will focus on the shopify and woocommerce solutions for those who are interested in technology or have motivated employees.

Which is the best online shop?

Modular system – online tools like Shopify

Creative Commons – Tools like WordPress / Woocommerce

What does it cost to create an online shop?

For online tools like Shopify, you pay a fixed monthly package price. If you need more products or additional accounts for new employees, you pay a little more. In return, you save almost the entire development costs that you incur with in-house development (WordPress) or with an advertising agency. The cost of the basic version is only 30 euros / month. This already includes many functions, such as coupon codes, but also an SSL certificate for secure data transmission.

With tools like WordPress and WooCommerce, a lot of time goes into the development of design and function. Accordingly, you need either employees with technical know-how or external professionals. In addition, you or an employee, a little familiar with HTML, CSS, MySQL and FTP, so that everything works, from the domain to the finished online shop. In return, you have great freedom and a lot of room for maneuver in extensions. The software WordPress is free, as well as the extension WooCommerce.

The most expensive option is definitely the e-commerce agency solution. Here you have to expect at least a five-digit amount. You hire an e-commerce agency if you have a very large product range with many variations. Make sure that you get comparative offers from other agencies so that you can compare the prices. At the beginning every agency will say, “we can do that”! Therefore, make sure to get comparative offers and references. Always make sure that you get references from the agency. If complications arise later because the agency does not have the appropriate know-how, this would be very annoying.

Show Notes: Business model lateral thinker

The ZDF Neo Magazin episode must also be mentioned:

Facebook comments make homepages, blog and online shops much more lively. Users are no longer forced to enter their data or register. By placing or exchanging the WordPress comments with the Facebook code, the interaction, user loyalty and also the visiting hours of your website, blog or shop increase. For embedding there are of course also WordPress plugins. With a little copy & paste you can also do everything yourself. Today not with a video tutorial, but with screenshots, because it is really fast, even without an advertising agency.

Create Facebook App for use

Tip! Here you can find our XXL Guide to the topic Facebook Ads. In this article you learn:

Create Facebook App for use

Comment Generate and embed comment code

If you have not yet created your own application in facebook for developers, this is your first step. Just sign up here and create an app:

Facebook for developers – Create registration and app

Comment Generate and embed comment code

In the next step you generate your own code. It is important that you get it into your header.php. This usually works in two ways with WordPress.

The best way is to include the code in your theme backend. Most themes support embedding directly from the backend. Then you don’t have to make any changes to the theme. You place the code where, for example, the code from Google Analytics is located.

Directly in the theme via your WordPress backend via Design > Editor. Then open the header.php and insert the code cleanly, best directly after the tag.

Recommendation! Better go over your Child Theme and change a copy of the header.php, then you will have no problems with the theme update.

Here you can generate your code:

Facebook comments for website / WordPress – Get code

This is what the generated code looks like. The appID is your individual ID.

<div id="fb-root"></div>
<script>(function(d, s, id) {
var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_DE/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.8&appId=1453051238274088";
fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));</script>

Screenshots of the developers tutorial

Here once again all steps in individual screenshots:

Exchange WordPress and Facebook comment function

Besides the script you will also get a small div box for embedding in the front end of the page. The procedure here is similar to the script. Only that you edit the single.php. If you are working with a theme, the code may also have to be placed in comments.php or similar. Like in my example. You can include the code everywhere in your page or only on single pages. We replace the comment function directly. If you want the comments on single pages, just insert the code directly into the blog posts, etc. This is how you change the comment function globally.

Importantnt, you have to replace your URL (in my case http://lukinski.com) for the global variant with :

< ?php echo get_permalink(); ?>

Directly in the theme via your WordPress backend via Design > Editor. Now open the single.php and replace the WordPress code or exclude it.

Recommendation! Do the same with your Child Theme and change a copy of the single.php.

<div class="fb-comments" data-href="< ?php echo get_permalink(); ?>" data-numposts="5"></div>

Voila.

Screenshots of the code exchange

In my example the comment code was not in the single.php but in a single comments.php. I copied this into my child theme and replaced the whole comment code with the new Facebook comments. If you work in the single.php, make sure to remove only the comment code. In the example the whole comments.php was replaced.

Facebook comment function in the blog

Ready the whole thing looks like this!

Sport is so important! I myself try to go to the sport at least four times a week, in addition to the advertising agency, I need my compensation! Out of this motivation and through the good acquaintance with Men Blogger Fabianxarnold, we have now to a completely new area! Fitness apparel, gym gloves, pull-ups , everything the athlete’s heart desires. We attach particular importance to fitness meets function.

X2 Lite for flexibility in sports

X1 and X2 – Quick stowed and perfectly protected for hand and wrist

Our focus is initially on gloves. Two designs, each in two variations for extra stability or extra flexibility. The X1 is worked very minimal and should be proven especially for the everyday language use. Only fast stows and protects the most important zones of the hand form and load. The X2, on the other hand, is even a little more sophisticated, for the entire hand and wrist protection. Also in two variations, with extra stability or extra flexibility.

PRGear Sports and Fitness Fashion for Men and Women

Our joint venture consists of three players, us as a marketing and advertising agency, responsible for the beautiful look and functionality of the online shop and the search engine optimization, men blogger Fabian, with over 100,000 fans on Instagram as an athlete for authentic products and just traveling is, in Australia, after the long planning time. From there he always sends us new impressions! And Mia Shop, for friendly customer service, fast distribution and, of course, product development, in close cooperation with everyone involved. Real custom work and 100% commitment.

A new startup is born, Sport & Sportswear

We are looking forward to the coming months and years with our new brand. In addition to our gloves, we now have three more designs online. XT1 shirts, for men and women, for women especially in boyfriend style, special training shirts for men but on a sports jacket for training (XZ1).

Product video of X1 and X2 for Insta & & Facebook Marketing

In collaboration with our video production, we’ve designed this first Instagram / Facebook video among others – as well as other product videos for the X1 and X2. The Facebook video is of course specially tailored to the fact that the fewest mobile devices, the media content, that is videos, play with sound. That’s why the text overlays are very present. By putting product videos in focus on the social network, Fabian is already very active, Instagram. So the videos are designed to be in style and length.

With the free WooCommerce Online Shop Plugin for WordPress, you can create your online shop in the shortest possible time with the appropriate agency help. The plugin is the crucial part for the “Online Shop” functions in the content management system WordPress. WooCommerce is, just like WordPress, available as a free download. With the powerful combination of WooCommerce and WordPress you can easily create your own professional online shop with your own merchandise management system. A WooCommerce shop also allows you to easily create invoices, optimize your stock, create vouchers and coupons or even give discounts on individual products. WooCommerce can also be expanded with practical features such as subscriber systems, so that payments are made regularly and automatically.

[shortcode variables slug=”adsense”]

WooCommerce, Agency tips

Have you ever heard of WooCommerce (plugin)? We as an agency can always recommend this wonderful plugin for WordPress to you. With WooCommerce you can make your online shop on a professional basis in no time. If you are wondering what makes WooCommerce different from other content management systems like Magento or Shopware, the question is easy to answer with the statement: Reduction of complexity. On the one hand, through the intelligent linking of WordPress and WooCommerce, you as an agency or company have the possibility to continue working in existing WordPress systems and expand them with an online shop. On the other hand, with a WooCommerce agency you have the opportunity to quickly and smartly achieve the perfect media presence.

WordPress online shop

Creating your own online shop with the content management system WordPress is not a difficult task in theory. What you have to pay attention to is the basic configuration to create a functional WordPress system for the online shop. In the following you install a plugin, which enables you to load products into your content management system quickly and easily. Through the years of work of many developers, many online shop possibilities have been created for the WordPress system, the most popular is probably the plugin Woocommerce. The online shop plugin allows you to build, manage and market an extensive online trade. Through the many flexible options of the CMS WordPress you always have the overview and can add many new functions and features if required. So you can manage your company website and your online shop with one system and one tool. You can specialize your employees and save a lot of time in the practical work. My recommendation for small companies and projects: Build your online shop with WordPress + Woocommerce.

Easy product management

In WooCommerce shops, you can manage your entire product management as well as control the stockkeeping. You have flexible possibilities to show and hide products, you can define different categorizations for your individual goods and products and even have an additional tool: You can offer digital products for download. These are then processed via payment providers such as Paypal or Klarna for credit card payment and voila. As an agency for WooCommerce online shops, we therefore also offer all-day workshops for your employees to familiarise them with the system.

Extensions and free plugins

With numerous extension possibilities and plugins you can constantly expand, optimize and improve the Woocommerce + WordPress Online Shop as described. Most of these features are free of charge and can be easily installed by media managers or an agency of your choice. In addition, there are further, very powerful plug-ins, which increase your reach and turnover enormously. You can’t go wrong with an online shop based on WordPress.

Magento or WooCommerce?

But important (!) plan your shop with an experienced agency. This later in the later workflow valuable hours and weeks of work. In addition, you will achieve fast top rankings in Google through sensible online shop SEO onpage measures. You also increase your potential through keyword analysis and link building. Insofar as your shop exceeds a certain level, you should also consider more comprehensive solutions such as Magento. There are also the right Magento Online Shop contact persons.

As easy as it sounds to use content management systems like WordPress, the linking of different bases is complicated. You work here in a complicated system that consists of various links, we use HTML, CSS, PHP, Java and SQL. In addition, there are special template properties, i.e. custom code snippets developed in your design. Therefore it is recommended to hire a media manager for success conscious enterprises and projects, who will set up an intelligent and smart WordPress online shop system, which allows fast results through many automations! Furthermore, you allow your employees an easy introduction to the shop system and you yourself an overview of your online shop project.

Questions about WordPress & Woocommerce Online Shop

If you are currently planning a new online shop, preparing a relaunch or looking for a shop with smart SEO onpage solutions, we are always looking forward to your call. We have proven in numerous projects how versatile, fast and efficient we create e-commerce systems according to customer requirements. Our references range from food online shops to jewelry and jeweler e-commerce retouch and shop systems. In questions of lifestyle products, fashion and style in corporate design, you can always rely on media systems from Lukinski.

As a rule, I tend to deal with e-commerce on the margins. Mostly it is projects in which I deal with media around e-commerce, from brochure design to website. Currently I am also working on a new project myself. Since I was looking for tips and found mainly English instructions, I thought a German, simple explanation would still make sense on the Internet!

Your online shop with WordPress + WooCommerce

The prerequisite for this is a basic technical understanding. But don’t worry, by clicking on the website you have already fulfilled 80%! With a little effort and a few hours time, anyone can set up their own online shop – free of charge, completely based on open source. It’s worth it. Because in the end, WordPress + WooCommerce is a stand-alone system for your individual needs as an entrepreneur.

Why? If you invest a little time, you will save a lot of time later. My recommendation:

A good cappuccino from your trusted cafe
approx. 2-3 hours Time

WordPress

Today it is all about making WordPress + WooCommerce functional in a short time. Once you have practised, you will only need a few minutes. But today we take a little time. The basis for our online shop is the content management system (CMS) WordPress. With it, content (e.g. texts or image media) can be managed relatively easily with just a little technical experience. At the same time WordPress also allows complex systems. WordPress can be extended. Like small apps for smartphones, there are plugins that enable new functions. One of these plugins is called WooCommerce.

WooCommerce

With WooCommerce, online shops can be implemented in a similarly simple and straightforward manner. In order to save the often expensive way to the agency, I will first introduce you today to the setup of WordPress and WooCommerce:

Installation

WordPress

The requirement for WooCommerce is WordPress. WordPress can be started easily, often already pre-installed by the provider. Alternatively, you can also create your own system at www.wordpress.com. For more experienced users, a separate installation (FTP/SQL) should be mandatory.

WordPress Download
WordPress Online at www.wordpress.com
Even with FTP/SQL try? The Elma Studios explain here how it works

WooCommerce

If WordPress is installed, only one plugin is missing, WooCommerce. The online shop plugin for WordPress. The easiest way is directly via ‘Dashboard > Plugins > Install’. The download is alternatively available as a link (below the screenshot)

WooCommerce Download

WooCommerce asks you to set up all pages in the dashboard after installation. Once you confirm, WooCommerce is fully installed. The plugin and all necessary pages (like ‘My account’, ‘Shopping cart’)

In front of you is a new, clean online store. Congratulations!

Set up WooCommerce

First settings

A few settings are essential for the operation of the system. You can find them in ‘Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings’. In the ‘General’ tab you should definitely consider countries and currencies:

Germany
Sales locations
Currency
…

Value added tax

In the tab ‘VAT’ (if you do not fall under the small business regulation) the option field “Activate VAT” must be activated.

TIP! For a simple price calculation I also recommend a click on “Yes, I enter the product prices including VAT”. Why? So you can set your prices, for example 59.99 and WooCommerce will automatically calculate the net amount and the VAT. In the selection field “Show the price in the shop” you select “Inclusive VAT”. Otherwise all prices in the online shop will be without VAT.

After the ‘value added tax options’ we now go to ‘standard rates’. There you enter the standard rate, in Germany usually 19% VAT. In the screenshot you can see the most important settings, like country code, tax rate and tax name.

This is exactly what you can do for the ‘Reduced Rate Sets’. Here you can enter reduced rates into the online shop. For example 7% for most foods. Afterwards as always “Save changes”.

Payment and more

In the ‘Settings’ you will find many more options besides ‘General Settings’ and ‘VAT’ – which are a bit beyond the scope of the blog post. Click a little bit around, choose the relevant options. Everything is well described.

For example, you should take a look at the ‘Cash’ tab. At the bottom of the page you will find “Payment methods”. Here you can choose a standard method, a classic bank transfer or payment via Paypal.

Congratulations – you are ready to go!

Next week! Part 2: Managing products in WooCommerce
