Since CEO Mark Zuckerberg renamed Facebook “Meta,” interest in the new virtual world has soared. Moreover, NFTs are no longer just the domain of geeks, IT geniuses and gamers. For even luxury fashion brands, for example, are collaborating with NFT developers or launching their own NFT collections in various metaverses. Jackets, hats, bags, limited edition jewelry, many of these assets have already been digitized by well-known companies. Events, such as fashion shows or concerts, also already take place in the metaverse.

Gucci already developed an interactive virtual exhibition inspired by the Gucci Garden Archetypes.

But that was not all! The luxury fashion brand and VIP and NFT collectible producer Superplastic have teamed up to present SUPERGUCCI. It is a limited edition NFT ceramic sculptures.

Tommy Hilfiger

In addition to New York Fashion Week, there was also a virtual fashion event on the video game platform “Roblox” with a digital catwalk and a live broadcast of Fashion Week in New York by Tommy Hilfiger.

Balenciaga

Today we have for the first time in the new year current data for you! Not much has changed in the ranking compared to 2019, 2018. Ariana Grande (173.71 million), The Rock (170.62 million), Kim Kardashian West (159.05 million) & Co. still belong to the top 10. However, there are also changes, Cristiano Ronaldo (201.37 million) has fought his way up and is now number 2. At the end of the list also two football stars: Leo Messi with 142.26 followers and Neymar Jr. with 132.96 million followers. Besides the new stars in the top 10, a few have been kicked out, like Taylor Swift.
